Rosemary is a herb and its scientific name is Rosemarinus officinalisIt is a perennial evergreen shrub. Rosemary is an aromatic and medicinal plant. Rosemary has needle like leaves.

How is it named?

First, let me reveal the name of this plant. Many people refer to it as grass, but those familiar with it will recognize it right away. When you touch it and smell it, you'll notice a fragrance akin to roses—yes, the scent of roses! So, the name of this plant is Rosemary. It’s a plant with significant medicinal value. For starters, it's an antioxidant. Antioxidants help remove toxins from our bodies, strengthen our tissues, and keep our bodies clean. It has many more benefits, which I will discuss further.

How we grow this plant?

Before we delve into its benefits, let me explain how to grow this plant. For indoor use, you can plant it in an 8-inch pot. Just one plant can keep your entire family healthy.

Fertilizer:

We recommend using natural fertilizers for this medicinal plant. Chemical fertilizers can reduce the medicinal properties. You should use natural compost made from calcium, phosphorus, and zinc. These are found naturally in stones from mountainous areas. We also use leaf compost and neem powder to keep the plant healthy and free from fungus.

Preparation of soil:

To prepare the soil, mix calcium powder with leaf compost and neem powder. For an 8-inch pot, use a mixture of half calcium powder, six parts leaf compost, and a small amount of neem powder. If the soil is too hard or clayey, you can also add peanut shells to make it more porous. Once your soil mixture is ready, fill the pot with it. Make sure to leave space for water. Add a small amount of water to keep the soil moist but not too wet. The plant should be watered just enough to keep the soil from drying out completely.
